Careers at Strongpoint

Sales Development Representative (Toronto/GTA preferred)

As our new Sales Development Representative, your core responsibility is to target warm and cold leads, and move them through the sales funnel with a goal of setting up meetings for our account executives to close deals.

Practically speaking, this will involve:

  • Researching and identifying potential accounts to contact
  • Connecting with potential customers to understand their needs and educate them about how our system can help them get more out of their investments in Salesforce and NetSuite
  • Following up with inbound leads to book meetings with our sales team, never leaving a lead unexplored
  • Maintaining accurate customer information
  • Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to understand leads and move them through the sales funnel

You’ll join a supportive team, who will set you up for success with clearly defined processes and extensive hands-on training, and who will equip you with a state-of-the-art tech stack and the best sales and automation tools.

Who We’re Looking for

You’re someone who is eager to build a career in SaaS sales — an ambitious new grad or someone with a few years experience in a similar role. You’re looking for an opportunity to take the next steps with a company that’s invested in your success.

Like the very best in sales, you have natural ability to build rapport and relationships, and are known for turning strangers into friends. You’re not fazed by rejection, because you have a persistent spirit and don’t take things personally. Your focus is always on meeting your targets and you love the thrill that comes with booking meetings and seeing deals close.

You also have an interest in technology and a passion for using tech to solve problems. You’re curious by nature, which means you’ll enjoy learning about compliance. You’ll love connecting with people over technology and sharing with potential clients about how our software can solve their problems.

Your Qualifications

We’d love to hear from you if you have some combination of the following:

  • Some experience in a sales-, customer service- or tech-focused role
  • A proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets in a sales environment
  • Experience doing outbound customer calls on the phone
  • Experience in any capacity with Salesforce, NetSuite or SOX compliance
  • Experience with sales tools like HubSpot, DiscoverOrg, Outreach, SalesLoft or similar
  • An undergraduate degree from a college or university in a relevant discipline, e.g. marketing, business

Don’t have the exact qualifications but think you could excel in this role? Tell us how in your cover letter.

Working at Strongpoint

We’re Strongpoint, and our products help some of the hottest companies out there to achieve SOX Compliance - an important part of becoming a publicly traded company. We have a mature leadership team, who you’ll interact with regularly, and we’ve experienced significant growth over the last few years because we offer software that our customers love.

We have a start-up mentality in the best sense of the word — flexibility to work on your own terms and freedom to grow with support from our leadership — but none of the downsides. We value our people, and care about developing our talent. There’s no shortage of opportunities here for your learning, career growth and development.

In return, you’ll bring initiative, perseverance and a willingness to take on occasional responsibilities outside the scope of your role. As a Sales Development Representative, you can expect:

  • A full time, permanent role, currently working remotely with potential for some in-office time in the future
  • A stable (yet flexible) schedule, working Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm(ish)
  • A competitive base salary of $50,000 with yearly on-target earnings of $65,000
  • Uncapped variable pay, so you’ll have plenty of room to exceed these targets
  • A comprehensive benefits package after three months
